The mayors are expected to attend meetings that will be discussed on development projects to Somaliland cities. The delegation is headed by the mayor of Hargeisa Eng. Hussein Mohamoud Jicir and they departed from Egal airport in Hargeisa. The delegation compromising mayors of Burao, Berbera, Sheikh, Borama nad Oodweyne.

They are expected to attend joint project and it will be jointly implemented by United Nations Organization and six mayors of Somaliland cities.
The project is about pwer decentralization and developing Somaliland cities. Mayor of Hargeisa Eng. Hussein Mohamoud Jicir spoke to the local media before the delegation departed from Hargeisa airport and he told that the trip is about to last four days. He added that six mayors along with United Nations Organization will hold discussion focusing on the best way that the project could be implemented. According to the mayor of Hargeisa the delegation will hold high level meetings with City Hall of Uganda for establishing cooperation with Somaliland cities.
