Ukraine has requested military aid.

Ukraine-(Berberanews)-After NATO allies ruled out establishing a no-fly zone for fear of triggering a direct war with nuclear-armed Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the West to increase military support.

“Give me planes if you don’t have the power to seal the skies!” At a press conference, Zelenskyy stated.

“God forbid, if we are no longer here, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia would be next,” he added, adding that direct discussions with Putin were “the only way to end this war.”

The European Union has already given fighter jets, and a German government source claimed the country was going to send another 2,700 anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine.

The EU’s 27 member states also decided to grant temporary protection to all refugees fleeing Ukraine’s war, which the UN estimates to number more than one million.
