Ethiopia: TPLF recaptures historic town of Lalibela

“The last part left this morning. We heard gunshots heard in the distance last night, but the Tigrean forces recaptured Lalibela, without firing a shot at the town,” said an eyewitness at a hotel reception in the town. told Reuters by telephone.

TPLF-affiliated forces took control of Lalibela in early August, but on December 1, Ethiopian forces and their Amhara regional allies recaptured the town.
