Somaliland President attends Hadrawi Funeral

Hargeisa-(Berberanews)-The late poet Mohamed Ibrahim Warsame Hadrawi passed away on Thursday in Hargeisa at the age of 79. The president of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, attended his state funeral.

On Friday, the late was laid to rest in the Baqiic Cemetery outside of Hargeisa.

On behalf of Somaliland, President Muse Bihi Abdi and Speaker of the House of Elders Saleeban Mohamud Adan sent their condolences to Hadrawi’s family, friends, and the Somali people.

The President compared the late person to a dictionary, which is indispensable to everyone and is used in a variety of contexts.

The President, Vice President Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail (Sailici), Speaker of the House of Elders of Somaliland Saleeban Mohamud Adan, Members of the Cabinet and Parliament, Delegations from Djibouti and the Somali Regional Government in Ethiopia, Politicians, Poets, Musicians, Writers, People in Business, Traditional Leaders, and Hundreds of People and Community Leaders all attended the state funeral for the deceased.

Yusuf Garad Omar, a former foreign minister for Somalia, as well as other Federal Republic of Somalia politicians, also attended the funeral.
