7 wounded in blast in Somalia’s parliament

Mogadishu -(Berberanews)-At least seven members of parliament and soldiers have been injured in a mortar attack on Somalia’s parliament building.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, has condemned the “terrorist acts that are intended to disrupt the work of the Federal Parliament” in a statement posted on the website of the Prime Minister’s Office.

The statement said the prime minister commended the parliament for its efforts to complete and accelerate the elections.

Prime Minister Roble instructed the Commanders of the Armed Forces to redouble their efforts to ensure security and prevent any attempt to disrupt security in the country, especially during the run-up to the elections.
