The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, and a strong delegation of ministers, members of the business community and social activists have arrived in Washington, DC.
The President and his delegation were welcomed at Dulles International by members of the US government and a large contingent of the Somaliland community.
The President and his delegation are expected to meet with the US State Department, Defense Dept, the National Security Council, members of the United States legislature, the USAID agency and the business community.
The visit, which is expected to last for approximately 10 days, is expected to address potential closer ties between Somaliland and the United States of America in the Horn of Africa and the Gulf of Aden.
The President, Muse Bihi Abdi and his delegation are also expected to meet with the large Somaliland community in North America.Ali Mohamed Abokor
