UN-(Berberanews)-The UN General Assembly has passed a non-binding resolution denouncing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and calling for its prompt departure.
In a rare emergency session called by the UN Security Council, the resolution was passed with the support of 141 of the assembly’s 193 members.
Russia was joined in voting against the resolution by Belarus, which has provided as a launch pad for Russian invasion forces, Eritrea, North Korea, and Syria. Thirty-five countries, including China, voted no.
