Hargeisa-(Berberanews)-The chairman of the opposition UCID party, Faisal Ali Warabe, has welcomed the ruling by the court in a dispute over the opening of political parties in Somaliland.
Faisal, who was strongly opposed to Law No. 14/21, which was part of the amendments and additions made to the previous House of Representatives, welcomed the repeal of Law No. 14/21 and the enactment of Law No. 14/11.
“We consider today’s decision by the court to be a victory for the nation of Somaliland, as it has repealed the enactment of the law that was a threat to Somaliland, which it returned to in 2011, which “It gives a clear and agreed-upon rights to the parties,” said Faisal.
Faisal said the party was preparing for the Somaliland presidential election.
“So it is a victory insha’Allah, we are preparing for the presidential election, the next election is up to the president,” said Faisal.
