Hargeisa-(Berberanews)-A high level delegation from the US Congress will visit Somaliland on Monday.
The delegation, the highest paid by the United States to the Horn of Africa in 10 years, according to CNN correspondent Brian Stelter, is comprised of senior members of the US Department of State, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. U.S. Foreign Relations Committee, senior advisers as well as senior White House attorneys.
The delegation is expected to meet with President Muse Bihi, as well as visit key sites including the port and international airport in Berbera.
HDI Chairman Omar Sadik Al Khalafala says: I landed at 100s airports in my lifetime but I had an overwhelming warm and emotional feelings landing at this humble beautiful Somaliland airport.
Dr. Khalafala is the prelude to the delegation arriving in Hargeisa on Monday.
