Hargeysa-(Berberanews)-The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, met at the Presidential Palace with the new Ambassadors of the European Union, Amb. Tiina Intelmann and Sweden Amb. Per Lindgarde.
The President of Somaliland welcomed the new Ambassadors to Somaliland, and provided an update on the progress that Somaliland has made over the past three decades. In these meetings, they also discussed strengthening relations between Somaliland, the European Union and Sweden, and accelerating ongoing and planned development projects.
The meeting discussed electoral activities and regional issues in the Horn of Africa.
The delegation commended the President and the people of Somaliland for the progress and vision of Somaliland They also congratulated the Somaliland government on the electoral process, and pledged to build on the good relations that already exist between Somaliland, the European Union and Sweden.
The delegation was accompanied by the #EU Ambassador to Somalia Ms Maria Groeneveld and Mr. Adnan Ahmed from the EU Office in Somaliland.
This is their first trip to the Somaliland capital Hargeisa.
