Ethiopia-(Berberanews)-Germany urges its citizens to leave Ethiopia on first available commercial flights, joining France and US as Reuters reports.
The German Foreign Ministry said in a statement that German nationals could travel to Addis Ababa’s Bole International Airport.
Countries including Canada last week called on their citizens to leave Ethiopia immediately.
The United States and the United Kingdom have recently issued warnings to their citizens to leave the country.
Turkey has also called on its citizens to leave Ethiopia, which is in a state of war.
The United Nations said on Tuesday that hundreds of families of its staff would be relocated from Ethiopia.
