UNITED ARAB EMIRATES DEFENSE BASE IN BERBERA, SOMALILAND IS ILLEGAL AND WE SAY NO NO
We the Somaliland people, wherever we might be in the world, do not approve of the decision made by the Somaliland government to allow foreign forces on our soil.
The Somaliland government have gone into agreement with the government of the UAE to establish a military base Sea and Airport. The argument that there will be job creation and industrial development in exchange for these vital strategic locations is one that does not stand strong enough against the risk of being dragged into war with countries with whom we are at peace.
We The Somaliland people urge the Somaliland government to reverse this decision and to prevent the potential risks and complications that a foreign army base comes with. There are no powers protecting us from any malice or negative impact as Somaliland is not recognize internationally, and this decision should not be seen as a positive step towards this.
Over and over again in history we have seen the negative impact of foreign military bases and the difficulty of evicting them should they abuse their power. We can not sit idle and let this happen, so we urge the Somaliland government to look at this again and overturn this decision…..
Let also remember the UAE, acting holy was paying The Somalian Dictator Late President of Somalia Mohamed Siad Barre to bomb Somaliland in 1988, by hiring him Rhodesion and South African Mecenaries. They were four pilots and four military mechanics/technicians here are some of them

UAE pledged 14 fighters to the Somalian Dictator Mohamed Siad Barre to carry out the 1988 genocide, those 14 fighter were 10 hawker hunters “FGA 76 and FG.9”, they were based in Sharjah. The others four were Britten-Norman islander jets. When the Somali pilots could not operate them, The UAE hire the Aparthied South African and Rhodesian Mecenaries.
The UAE is not as innocent as it looks do not be fooled by the mirage in the desert. The truth is in Somaliland more then 80, 000 were killed by Dictator Mohamed Siad Barre forces armed by UAE and others Arab States.
Somaliland People should not believe those Emirates are as innocent as they might appear, so no no no illegal military base in Somaliland , and their charity is not HALAL, it is blood money
